VEGAN RECIPES: Breads
 

Pita Bread
 

ingredients:

  • 1 cup warm water
  • 1 T. Yeast
  • 1/2 t. salt
  • 2 1/2 cup whole-wheat flour

 

directions:

Dissolve yeast in water. Add flour and salt. (Dough should be sticky) divide dough into 8 equal parts and roll out until pita sized. Place on cookie sheet and allow to rise until oven is hot enough (500 º) to begin baking. Bake for 5 minutes or until they all pocket.
