Garlic:The Medicinal Herb
Presented by Krista Ehrler-Cashatt

TIP:
To remove the garlic odor eat
or drink chlorophyll-based substances like wheat grass or parsley and suck on a bit of fresh ginger root or a clove as
 a breath mint.

Garlic has been used medicinally for many hundreds of years. It has proven its usefulness as an anti-microbial, anti-fungal, and anti-viral agent. It also is an immune stimulant and an anti-coagulant. It lowers blood sugar, decreases bronchial secretions and studies have shown that garlic has cancer-inhibiting properties. Garlic can be used raw or dried in powered form. However, it is more potent when used raw.

Cough Syrup

INGREDIENTS:

  • 4-6 cloves garlic crushed
  • ½ onion
  • 1 quart of water

Simmer until reduced to half. Strain.

Add:

  • 2 T-½  cup of honey.
  • ½ cup fresh lemon juice
  • pinch of cayenne (caution)

Take one tsp as needed.

Sore Throat

Cut one clove of garlic in half and place inside each cheek for 1-2 hours or until sore throat is gone. (Placing on your tongue can be too hot.)

Earaches

INGREDIENTS:

  • 3 cloves garlic crushed
  • ½ c organic extra virgin olive oil (preferably cold pressed)

Let stand covered about an hour, the longer the better. Shake often. Strain. Warm and place one to two drops in affected ear.

***Do not put anything in the ear if there is drainage.***
