ingredients:
Blend until very smooth:
- 1 c. hot water
- ¾ c. cashews, raw
Then add and blend
- 1 c. water
- 2 T. cornstarch
- 1 T. onion powder
- 1 t. garlic powder
- 2 T. nutritional yeast flakes
- 2 t. salt
- 1 T. Chicken-style seasoning
- pinch of cayenne
For different flavors try adding 2 t. dill and/or 1 t. caraway seeds and blend well.
directions:
Pour into saucepan and heat until thickened stirring very frequently to prevent scorching. Serve on pizza, on tortilla chips for nachos or thicken with cooked pasta for delicious alternative to macaroni and cheese.
